Who am I?

I’m an experienced Occupational Therapist who obtained my B. Occupational Therapy in 1986, and my Hons in Advanced Occupational Therapy in 1996 at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.

My experience spans across 37 years working as an occupational therapy clinician overseas – South Africa, the UK and in Australia since 2006.

I have worked with people from various backgrounds and diagnoses such neurological conditions; acquired brain injuries, amputations, and orthopedic conditions such as fractures, hip and knee replacements. I have also worked in the community, vocational rehabilitation, and the medico-legal insurance industry – being an expert witness in court as needed.

In the UK and Australia, I worked in Aged Care doing home assessments and equipment prescription for Home Care Packages and Community Home Care Support Programs.

I am experienced in the NDIS field, working with 18 years and above, doing functional, SIL, and SDA Assessments.

I have a special interest in Home Modifications.

I believe in the client-centered model and advocating for participants to have the best chance in life, supporting them with their day-to-day lifes, utilising assistive technology to assist and to work together in an interdisciplinary team approach.

My qualifications and work experience have been verified and accredited with the Council of Occupational Therapists Registration Boards (Australia and New Zealand).

I am registered with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have current NDIS worker screen- & NDIS working with children’s, certificates.
